Due to the ongoing rainfall, many rivers have been flooded. The amount of water entering dams is growing, and it has been ordered that any excess water in specific dams be discharged as soon as possible.

Rainwater has swamped key roadways, causing significant traffic congestion. People's daily lives are drastically disrupted. Heavy rains are expected in kerala during the next three days, according to the kerala Meteorological Department. Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, and thrissur have received a red alert, while Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and wayanad have received an orange alert.

Tamil Nadu is experiencing heavy rainfall, and chief minister Stalin has issued an urgent warning! Meanwhile, landslides triggered by heavy rains have killed eight people and buried 22 others. The rescue effort involves disaster relief teams and police. The people are being held in secure locations, and the state government is assisting them as needed.

In this regard, home minister amit shah has stated that the Union government is prepared to provide all possible support to kerala, which has been ravaged by floods.  The National Disaster Rescue Team has already arrived in kerala to assist with the rescue efforts.
