The townsfolk aren't as friendly with Rambabu (Venkatesh) as they were six years ago when he hushed up a crime in an unbelievable sequence of events, we're told somewhere in the movie. There's a rationale Rambabu's Rajavaram neighbours are not quite the same individuals. When the aspect is left to wither away without being squeezed for a comprehensive knowledge, one believes writer-director jeethu joseph could have handled things differently.

It wouldn't have added anything to the primary plot, but it would have provided a substantial layer to the unabashed theatrical suspense. Everyone remembers what Rambabu committed in 'Drushyam' by now (2014). It's been 6 years. Rambabu has obtained the highest wisdom of a blessed and slightly over-rated screenplay writer in the year 2020. How? Most likely as a result of misfortune. However, luck is on his side, and he and his family are safe from harm. He is more of a tough 'kapatadhaari' than a brilliant cinema buff who must save his spouse (Meena as Jyothi) and daughter (Kruthika Jayakumar as Anju) at all expenses.

With the exception of the top actors, the casting is lacklustre. As Rambabu's buddy and neighbourhood couple, chammak chandra and satyam rajesh are unimpressive. The conversations could have been more flexible; while adopting the telugu language for "sense of inferiority" is admirable, it falls short of the mark. If the emphasis is on concepts like'systemic negligence' and 'typical criminal,' one may better grasp the narrative.
