He was diagnosed with COVID-19 shortly after his homecoming. "After arriving from the vacation to the united states, I had a minor cough. On testing, the govt infection was verified. In the hospital, I'm alone. Recognize that the pandemic is not yet gone and that everyone is protected," Kamal wrote on his social media page.


Kamal's admirers and well-wishers flooded him with messages wishing him a speedy recovery shortly after he announced the news. And now, according to recent rumours, superstar Rajinikanth has called the actor to inquire about his health. He even wished him well and wished him a swift recovery. Kamal's daughter shruti haasan has previously updated his condition and thanked his fans for their prayers. "I appreciate all of your well-wishes and prayers for my father's recovery."

"Sri. kamal haasan is admitted in SRMC for complaints of lower respiratory tract infection and fever," the hospital said in a health advisory. He tested positive for COVID. He is being treated medically, and his condition is stable.
