The government is taking precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the new mutated coronavirus B1.1.529 in tamil Nadu. Accordingly, the government of tamil Nadu has imposed additional restrictions on travelers from 12 countries to prevent the spread of the Omicron virus.

The Department of Public health has announced that travelers to tamil Nadu from 12 european countries, including Britain, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, China, Mauritius, and Singapore, will be subjected to additional surveillance.

Those coming from these countries must have a corona test and a negative certificate. However, they will be re-examined after landing in tamil Nadu. Perhaps if the corona test confirms the infection, the passenger's sample will be collected and subjected to genetic testing. They will then be admitted to the ward and will be under medical supervision. They will be discharged if genetic testing confirms the absence of an Omicron.

The government has announced the appointment of a health Project Officer at four international airports in Chennai, coimbatore, Madurai, and Trichy. people from countries other than the 12 countries listed by the government are also required to have a Corona negative certificate, but only 5 percent of them will have a corona test at the airport.
