New restrictions for travelers coming to tamil Nadu from abroad...

Due to the threat of the Omicron virus, the new restrictions on air travelers from abroad came into effect from midnight. The Omicron virus, which was found in South Africa, has so far spread to 12 countries, including China, Europe, New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Singapore. Therefore, the new restrictions on passengers arriving at chennai, Trichy, Madurai, and coimbatore airports in tamil Nadu from 12 specific countries will come into effect from midnight. All of these passengers underwent RT-PCR testing and are scheduled to stay at the airport for about 6 hours until the results are available.

The new arrival area at chennai airport is being used to isolate them from being joined by other passengers. Various facilities including food and free wifi have been provided to the isolated on behalf of the airports. Passengers are relieved from the aircraft once the corona test has been examined. Similarly, after 6 hours of isolation, passengers are sent out in groups. Separate officers have been appointed to the respective airports on behalf of the tamil Nadu People's Welfare Department to manage all these. Tests so far have shown that no one has symptoms of the Omicron virus.
