Earlier, samples of the 66- and 46-year-olds, both from south africa, were sent to the Medical Research Council of india (ICMR) for Omigron testing. Earlier, karnataka health minister Dr K sudhakar had said that the person's model was 'different from the delta variant'. 




The risk of the omicron variant of coronavirus is increasing day by day. The World health Organization (WHO) has reported that the variant has spread to at least 23 countries and is more likely to infect other countries, but the presence of Omigran in india has been confirmed.



The corona (Sars Cov-2) virus is constantly changing its shape. The current new type of corona (B.1.1.529) is named Omicron.



Earlier on Thursday, four more passengers from countries classified as 'dangerous' due to the Omigran virus infection were confirmed to have a Govt-19 infection when they arrived at the indira gandhi International Airport.





The official said one person who was travelling with 195 people on the flight from london had been diagnosed with coronavirus.
