Three sailors have been killed in an explosion at the Navy's dockyard in Mumbai.



An accident took place at the Naval Dockyard in mumbai on tuesday in which three Navy sailors lost their lives. The incident took place onboard INS Ranvir whose internal compartment exploded. 



According to the information, as soon as the explosion took place, the crew of the ship started trying to bring the situation under control.

Naval officials said that INS Ranvir was on a cross-coast operational deployment from the Eastern Naval Command and was about to reach the base port soon. 



According to the information, a court of Inquiry has been ordered by the indian Navy to investigate the reasons for this explosion. 





Ship soon to return to base port


INS Ranvir is a warship originally stationed on the east Coast (Vizag). It was in mumbai from november 2021, and was to return soon. A sudden explosion occurred in its interior on tuesday evening. 



Three sailors were killed and 11 injured due to its grip. According to a Defense Department spokesperson, the crew members on board the ship immediately after the blast arrived and extinguished the fire caused by the explosion, which has saved the vessel from further damage. 



Navy sources say that the weapons and explosives equipped on the ship have also been safe from this blast.
