Thaman, the music director, is on a roll right now. He has composed music for a number of major tollywood films and has gotten praise for most of his current work. However, with Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata, he has entirely flopped. The film's biggest letdown is Thaman's soundtrack. Everything from his section was subpar, whether it was the songs or the background soundtrack.
The other two songs, with the exception of Kalavathi and Penny, are forgettable. The background music was also not up to par. It fell short of elevating key scenes in the film. After an eight-year hiatus, Thaman reunited with Mahesh Babu. They had previously collaborated on projects for dookudu and Aagadu. Thaman's weakest work for Mahesh, as well as his weakest work in recent years, is Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
Fans would usually be posting recordings from the theatres by this time, thanking Thaman for his participation. Except for SVP, we've seen this with all of his recent biggies.
