Not the worst disappointment, but then again, this plain mass feast was not to be expected from Superstar Mahesh, as Sarkaaru Vaari Paata was a poorer than expected treat. And we have to mention that Thaman's big idea for the second half of the movie stopped it from being a disaster. Though Thaman's background score isn't particularly memorable, his suggestions for the film's editing in the second half are reported to have proven useful.

Similarly, Thaman is claimed to have suggested filmmaker Parusram to replace the slow-paced Muraari Baavaa song with the mass number Ma Ma Maheshaa in order to give the film's second half a dramatic makeover. Sarkaaru Vaari Paata would have grown more uninteresting without this song in the second half. And in fact, that has worked like a magic right now as whole theater erupted for that fast beat song and we saw fans going crazy

On the other side, films that received a lot of press because of Thaman's background score aren't doing well at the box office. The best examples are radhe shyam and Sarkaaru Vaari Paata. Perhaps the maestro composer should tone down the way he promotes some films in order to keep expectations low.
