Following a government complaint, the mangalagiri CID police station filed charges against 12 people for allegedly sharing the fraudulent post and making it viral. They served all of them with notifications under Section 41A of the criminal Procedure Code, requesting that they come before the CID police for questioning by tuesday evening and wednesday morning. According to sources, additional tdp activists are likely to receive similar notices. tdp leaders went to the office of director General of police K v Rajendranath reddy after learning that the CID had charged tdp activists in the bogus social media posts case. They stated that the CID notices were unfounded. The tdp activists who were charged with the crimes also made a statement to the DGP claiming innocence.
