According to swiss bank data, deposits in savings and current accounts of indians have reached a seven-year high of Rs 4,800 crore. However, it had a declining trend for the first two years.



According to the annual data released by Switzerland's central bank, the amount deposited by indian companies and individuals in the year 2021 has increased by 50 percent to Rs 30,500 crore this year. This deposit amount is the highest in the last 14 years. In the year 2020, this figure was Rs 20,700 crore. For the second year in a row, deposits have seen an increase. It also includes deposits, with securities and other similar instruments.



Apart from this, deposits in savings and current accounts of indians have reached a seven-year high of Rs 4,800 crore, according to the data. However, it had a declining trend for the first two years.

 

30,839 crore liability

Swiss National bank (SNB) has said that indian customers had liabilities of Rs 30,839 crore (3831 crore swiss currency-CHF) as of the end of 2021. In this, Rs 4,800 crore has been deposited in the account. In 2020 it was Rs 4,000 crore. Rs 9,760 crore was deposited by other banks, up from Rs 3,064 crore in 2020. 2.40 crore was deposited by the trust.


Rs 16,000 crore of bonds, securities and other instruments

The bank said that the maximum amount is deposited through bonds, securities and other instruments, which is about Rs 16,000 crore. The highest amount of indians was deposited here in 2006, which was close to Rs 52,000 crore. After that it declined. However, it saw an increase in 2011, 2013, 2017, 2020 and 2021. It said all the four components had declined in 2019 and 2020. Whereas in 2021 there was an increase in all.
