Is Daggubati Purandeshwari, a former Union minister and national general secretary of the bharatiya janata party, eager to run for the krishna district assembly in the upcoming elections? A portion of the media is speculating about this possibility. This rumour appears to be the result of Purandeshawari interfering with several development projects in gudivada that were opposed by Kodali Venkateshwara Rao, alias nani, a sitting mla for the congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='ysr congress-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>ysr congress party.

These reports state that Purandeshwari has chosen to support the gudivada constituency, which was twice represented by her late father, actor and former chief minister N T Rama Rao. Comparing her to nani, whose violent demeanour has earned him a poor reputation, she may benefit from being the daughter of ntr and from her reputation in politics. The bjp leadership believes that this is the reason gudivada is a safe seat for her.

Second, it's possible that the entire ntr family will support Purandeshwari if she runs for office. Given that she is the elder sister of party mla Nandamuri balakrishna and the sister-in-law of party president N Chandrababu Naidu, not even the tdp would dare produce a strong contender to challenge her. Naidu does not want the opposition vote to divide in favour of the YSRC in gudivada because he also wants to defeat kodali nani at all costs.

Purandeshwari's decision to run from gudivada will also affect all of the district's neighbouring constituencies. Although the bjp might not find excellent candidates there, the tdp would unquestionably benefit much from it, according to sources. That is the same reason nani has just started attacking Purandeshwari aggressively. Even worse, he warned her against interfering with construction projects like the overpass being built over the railroad gates.
