K chandrasekhar Rao, the leader of the telangana rashtra samithi and chief minister, once more showed his absolute disdain for the governor by purposefully missing the "At Home" gathering that she usually hosts at the raj bhavan on the occasion of the nation's 75th Independence Day on Monday. The governor, as usual, invited the chief minister, his family, his cabinet members, and the leaders of all political parties to the gathering at 7 o'clock on monday at raj Bhavan.

The police department was also informed to make all necessary preparations for the CM's visit. Due to his Covid-19 infection, director General of police M Mahender reddy also chose not to attend the event. kcr returned to raj bhavan very recently after an absence of a year in order to witness the swearing-in of Ujjal Bhuyan as the next chief justice of the high court. The discrepancies, however, reemerged after the recent floods in Godavari when the state government forbade her from travelling to flood-affected villages by helicopter.
