YouTube Channel Ban: 45 videos from 10 channels...


The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has directed YouTube to remove around 45 videos from 10 channels with immediate effect. Intelligence agencies had given inputs to the ministry that anti-India activities were being promoted on these channels.


The videos which have been instructed to be banned, had been viewed more than 1 crore 30 lakh times. According to the news agency, this information has come out from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Action on hate videos

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said in its order, 'Orders to delete the identified videos have been issued on 23 september 2022. This action is being taken under the provisions of IT Rules 2021. The videos that are being blocked have been viewed 1 crore 30 lakh times.


The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also revealed that these videos were full of fake content which were uploaded only for the purpose of spreading hatred between two communities.

Among the videos that YouTube has banned, there were also some in which issues related to Agneepath, kashmir, army and national security were mentioned. False information was being spread in them. The central government says that there were many such things in these videos that could affect national security. Issues related to Ladakh and kashmir were mentioned. Because of this, India's relations with friendly countries could also be affected.
