The primary suspect in the Shraddha Walkar murder case, Aaftab Ameen Poonawala, took a lengthy polygraph examination for a second day on friday at the Forensic Science Laboratory that lasted for about three hours (FSL). Poonawala, who will have a medical exam today, was ill on friday, therefore the polygraph test could not be finished. According to Sagar Preet Hooda, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Zone II, "Polygraph test of the accused Aaftab in Mehrauli police station case FIR No 659/22 under section 365/302/201 IPC could not be held today."
In a day or two, a team of FSL personnel would likely deliver the findings to delhi Police. According to the experts, Aaftab Poonawala cooperated with the investigators to a limited extent but mostly avoided answering questions. If there are any differences in the reports, Aaftab might be subjected to a narcoanalysis test, according to PTI.
Poonawala is accused of strangling Walkar (27), chopping up her body into 35 pieces, and keeping them in a 300-liter refrigerator at his Mehrauli home in South delhi for almost three weeks before disposing of them over several days after midnight. In May, Walkar allegedly died.
