Reliance Industries' telecom services arm jio is actively planning to expand its service overseas.

To this end, reliance industries is currently planning to make a major investment in BT (British Telecom), the UK's leading telecom company.

In August, reliance Industries' attempt to acquire Dutch-based Deutsche Telecom's D-Mobile Dutch company D-Mobile, headquartered in Bonn, Germany, lost to Apax Partners and Warburg Pincus.

Meanwhile, reliance industries chairman mukesh ambani has bought the huge Stoke Park 5 star hotel in the UK for 57 million and is converting it into his own home.

Not only that, but the Ambani family as a whole has denied allegations that they will be moving to the UK.

It has been reported that BT is planning to invest heavily in the UK to expand its jio service in the country. BT shares are held by approximately 419 institutional investors.

Reliance ready to buy

It has been reported that BT shareholders have been informed that reliance industries is ready to buy the shares if they pay the right price.

 BT is trying to dominate the company's management by acquiring this stake.

Alliance

Reliance industries has said it is ready to form an alliance or invest in BT's expansion if the acquisition fails, and has begun preliminary talks between the two sides.
