Eleven Covid- On thursday evening, 19 patients died at the SVRR government general hospital in tirupati due to a breakdown in oxygen supply, which resulted in a shortage. At least 13 patients are currently being treated in the ICU ward and are said to be critical. Witnesses say that patients were left without oxygen for around 45 minutes. "My mother has been struggling to breathe for the past 30 minutes,"

The state government, on the other hand, claims that the interruption in oxygen supply lasted just five to ten minutes. M.Harinarayanan, district collector of chittoor, said that the alertness of the doctors on duty prevented a larger tragedy.

According to News18, an oxygen tanker from chennai arrived at the hospital nearly 2 hours late, but they were nearly out of buffer stock. The longer refilling process caused a temporary interruption in the oxygen supply.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister jagan reddy has ordered a high-level investigation into the deaths of 11 patients. Earlier this month, 16 people died as a result of an oxygen shortage at two separate hospitals. According to the tdp, jagan reddy has blood on his hands and the incident was the result of criminal negligence on the part of the state government."Another act of criminal negligence has cost many lives in Ruia hospital in tirupati," tdp spokesperson Pattabhi ram says.
