Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union health Minister, announced on tuesday that the Covid-19 vaccination for children will be available in August. Mansukh Mandaviya delivered the information at a meeting of the bjp Parliamentary Party, which prime minister Narendra Modi also attended.

Dr Randeep Guleria, head of the All india Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), stated last week that trials of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin on youngsters were beginning, with findings anticipated in September.

In delhi AIIMS, Covaxin vaccine studies are being conducted on children aged 2 to 6 years. Covaxin India's CEO, Randeep Guleria, stated earlier this month that the vaccine will be accessible to children by September. The Studies seems to be going well than expected. 

On june 7th, delhi AIIMS has begun evaluating children aged 2 to 17 for Covid-19 vaccination trials. Bharat Biotech was granted authorization by the DCGI to conduct phase 2 and phase 3 trials on children as young as two years old. The DCGI announced on May 12 that it would not be able to approve the company's request for a second phase of the trial. Covaxin and Zydus Cadila are two of three vaccines being trialled in for use in the fight against measles.
