THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has declared a complete curfew in kerala on saturday and sunday (July 31 and Aug. 1) as the corona positive cases continue to hike in full pace in the state. Meanwhile, the central has assigned a six-member crew back to kerala to examine the condition.


The corona influence in kerala passed 22,000 for the second day recently. A total of 22,129 people were infected by corona in the state yesterday. Of the 1,96,902 specimens tested in the 24 hours that concluded yesterday evening, 22,056 proved corona positive. The proportion was 11.2 per cent. 17,761 were treated and discharged. The death toll rose to 16,457 as 131 people died in the past few days. 1,49,534 are being treated in hospitals and 4,46,211 are being quarantined and observed.


Following this, the state government has determined to achieve a full curfew on saturday and sunday to restrain the corona. In these circumstances, the central government has shown concern over the rising incidence of corona in Kerala. The moiety of the total number of sufferers nationally is from Kerala. Similarly, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Malappuram, and thrissur districts of kerala are amongst the top 10 most attacked districts nationwide. In the last 4 weeks, the figure of corona sufferers in these districts has risen by 45 per cent. Subsequently, the Union Ministry of health has signed to the state government asking it to facilitate precautionary measures and take steps to prevent congestion.


In the first week of July, a central crew visited kerala and examined it. However, as the impact continues to rise, the federal government has sent back a six-member crew to look into the circumstances. They are examining the steps being taken to manage the corona in the state.
