Filmmaker and Author trisha Das has revealed that she was sexually harassed in her earlier days at her workplace and things have changed after the #MeToo movement and she also confessed this brought a change on several women these days. Regarding this while speaking to IANS, trisha Das who is the sister of vir das said,

"I have harassed at my workplace 5 years ago and now there is a progressive change as I can see several women voicing against these harassments. At that time, I was a documentary director and I got harassed sexually several times in my workplace and it was even considered common practice. During those days, women would seek solace from other women and they would look to comfort each other and be protective and console one another.

We never had any social media these days to vent our outrage or share our stories and so we had no accountability. We just could stay silent even after getting harassed several times and men never had any fear of repercussion. But now things changed as sexual harassment topics are too common to be discussed on social media platforms and even in public places and this #MeToo movement has definitely created the momentum."
