After three years, a model, Ashna Roy who had a bad haircut and lost several modelling contracts, including a movie part, has finally been paid for her losses. The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission awarded the lady model a staggering Rs 2 crore in compensation.

A controversial decision was recently made by the National Consumer Dispute Resolution Commission. The commission has ordered to pay Rs 2 crore for treatment at the ITC Maurya Hotel saloon in delhi for cutting her lengthy hair. After being seen by a barber team at the ITC Maurya Hotel Salon in delhi, a woman who was a model for the well-known VLCC and Pantene hair products lost her employment. When she went to Hotel ITC Maurya Salon for that woman's haircut for an interview on april 12, 2018, they made another hairdresser accessible instead of her normal hairstylist.

The woman was taken back when she saw the hairdresser chopping off her full head of hair with wrong treatment. Although salon employees provided her with a complimentary hair treatment, she subsequently suffered serious burns to her scalp. Her scalp was permanently damaged by the chemical employed in the therapy. Justices rk Agarwal and Dr SM Kantikar issued judgments requiring the victim to be compensated in the amount of Rs 2 crore.
