A mother and father have been detained for strangling their daughter to death near Paramakudi. Kavusalya (23), the Amirthavalli couple's eldest daughter, is from Nandupatti hamlet in Ramanathapuram district, near Paramakudi. She married Kanagaraj, a villager from Sevvoor near Paramakudi, four years ago. Over the last four months, the husband and wife had a falling out, and they divorced.

Kavusalya lived in Nandupatti with her mother and father. On the 15th, while no one was home, Kawsalya attempted suicide by ingesting poison. He was rescued and taken to the government Hospital in Paramakudi. Kaushalya, who was being treated there, was taken home by her parents without the physicians' knowledge. Kavusalya died abruptly in this state. Without contacting the authorities, Kaushalya's parents incinerated her body. 

Hema, a village administration officer who learned of the incident, filed a police report at Emaneswaram. The death of the suspect was recorded in the case, and the police conducted an inquiry. The death was reported as suspicious, and the police launched an inquiry. It was revealed that Kavusalia's parents had murdered her. police apprehended both of them. According to the authorities, Kavusalya, who has divorced her spouse, has been acquainted with a youth from a different sect. This has been denounced by Kaushalya's parents. Kawsalya, on the other hand, has become accustomed to not asking for it. The investigation indicated that Kavusalia was strangled to death by her irate parents.
