Srirangam Arulmigu Ranganathar temple is located in Trichy, tamil Nadu. Today, the world's largest bathtub for elephants was put into service. Following that, the two elephants jumped into the bathtub and took turns bathing. The two elephants serving at the Arulmigu Ranganathar temple are Andal (44) and lakshmi (22). Elephant Lord has been in service for 35 years, and Elephant lakshmi has been in service for one and a half years.


To bathe the two elephants, a new bathtub measuring 57 feet long, 6.75 feet high, and with a capacity of 3.25 lakh litres has been built in the temple-owned forest near Panchakarai Road, North Gate, Srirangam. Following that, at 9.40 a.m. today, the two elephants, Andal and lakshmi, were unloaded in the bathtub for the first time in the presence of the temple's associate commissioner S. Marimuthu, following a special pooja performed by temple priest Sundar Butter. The two elephants splashed the water and bathed excitedly, eager to see the water.
