Nurses are in low supply at Singapore's hospitals. As a result, a private hospital in the area has announced a $1,000 incentive for individuals who assist in the hiring of a nurse. If a selected nurse is hired at that particular private hospital, the recruiter will be given a financial incentive of S $ 12,000, according to the announcement.

The scarcity of nurses has been revealed by an unnamed administrator at a private hospital in Singapore, according to The Straits Times. "A lot of nurses from abroad come to work here," he explained, "but because nurses are not granted permanent residency in Singapore, they work here for a couple of years and then transfer to countries like canada with that work experience."

In Singapore, there was an extraordinary nurse shortage last year. It is currently predicted to rise even further. 1500 nurses quit in the first half of 2021 alone. A total of 500 foreign doctors have left the country. The health department is concerned because the number of nurses resigning has risen to 1500 in just six months this year, up from 2000 per year. Because the corona infection is still low in Singapore, there is a significant demand for nurses and doctors.
