Possibility of heavy rainfall in tamil Nadu today and tomorrow!!!
The indian Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in tamil Nadu for the next five days. It has been reported that there is a possibility of heavy rain in tamil Nadu today and tomorrow due to the circulation of the atmospheric overlay. Due to the monsoon, heavy rains are falling widely in tamil Nadu. Due to the heavy rainfall, the rivers are flooded. The low-lying areas of chennai are surrounded by rainwater. According to the Meteorological Department, a low-pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of bengal in the southern Andamans tomorrow.
Heavy rainfall was continuously recorded in Chennai. Areas including Nungambakkam, Kodambakkam, Vadapalani, Adyar, Anna Nagar, and Saligramam have seen an increase in the amount of rainwater that has accumulated on the roads. The suburbs of Avadi and Ambattur also received moderate rainfall till morning. Areas including Tiruvallikeni, Thiyagaraya Nagar, Kodambakkam, Vadapalani, and kk Nagar in chennai have been receiving heavy rainfall since last night. kk Nagar, Rajamanaar Road was closed to vehicles due to knee-deep rain. Similarly, vehicles were not allowed in the Kodambakkam-Rangarajapuram tunnel due to rainwater being flooded. Corporation employees immediately dispose of the accumulated rainwater with electric motors. chennai has received the heaviest rainfall of 100 cm in a single month for the fourth time in the last 200 years.
