Darling (GV Prakash Kumar), the show's protagonist, is the type of guy who doesn't give a damn what other people think of him. He's an aimless teenager from coimbatore who works in an IT firm in Bangalore and lives with his pals from his hometown. He is at the point of his life where he is relishing the independence of living alone, free of the constraints that living with one's family imposes. He struts around like the roosters at the mansion he shares with his pals, seemingly unconcerned. Getting a bottle to drink and snagging a girl to snog appear to be the only two things on his mind.

And all he sees when he encounters Subbu (Divyabharathi), a buddy of a friend who works in his workplace and is single, is a potential girlfriend. He scrounges his way into her flat and begins stalking her. She appears to be aware of his methods, but one thing leads to another, and they are soon living together. Everything is OK until Subbu falls pregnant, thanks to their rampaging hormones. He definitely does not want to carry the child, and she does! In fact, he is adamant that she wants to abort the child. Where will this jolt of reality lead them after that?

Sathish Selvakumar's Bachelor is an often interesting, indulgent glance into the life of a severely broken guy, with a tone that could best be characterized as arjun reddy combines Angamaly Diaries. His darling, a self-centered, carefree young man with few redeeming features, is a new figure to modern movies. The film does not pass judgment on him, but rather presents him as a befuddled young guy who lacks empathy for others around him. In summary, he is not a lovable figure, and sathish makes no attempt to make him so. Despite some initial adoration of the character, the director balances it out by subsequently turning him into a joke.

The film's excessive treatment is what knocks it down. sathish appears to be so enamoured with the material and the personalities that he allows them to take control of the narrative. Both the writing and the editing create the impression that more concentration is required. The opening scenes with darling and his buddies' escapades appear to stretch on forever and have a meandering air to them. In the second half, we get an amusing yet overlong episode with a cameo appearance by a director.
