OPS and EPS files nomination for ADMK election: AIADMK election - nomination completion; OBS - EPS jointly petitioned; Both have the opportunity to be selected without competition.

With the election for AIADMK coordinator and co-coordinator set to take place on december 7, the nomination process has ended today.

At the AIADMK executive committee meeting on december 1, the party's rules were amended to give more powers to the coordinator and co-coordinator.

The rules were also amended so that both the coordinator and the co-coordinator would be elected by a single vote of the basic members of the party.

Following this, it was announced that the election for the Coordinator and Co-Coordinator would be held on december 7 and the nominations for the post would be held on december 3 and 4.

Meanwhile, former AIADMK mp KC Palanichamy has filed a case in the high court seeking an injunction against the election as it was not conducted in accordance with the relevant rules. But the high court refused to impose the ban.

In this context, the nomination process which started yesterday has been completed today.

Both OPS and EPS presented their nomination papers to election officials Ponnaiyan and pollachi Jayaraman in the presence of senior party executives.

In this context, Ponnaiyan and pollachi Jayaraman jointly stated at the press conference that the election for the posts of AIADMK coordinator and co-coordinator will be held on the 7th and that the candidates will be considered tomorrow as per the by-election rules and no complaints have been received.

Meanwhile, as no one other than OPS and EPS has filed nominations, it seems likely that both the petitions will be declared uncontested on the day of consideration tomorrow.
