Following the chief minister, Ministers KN Nehru, K. Ramachandran, M. P. Saminathan, Commander-in-Chief of the army General Manoj Mukund Narawane, Chief of air Staff VR Chaudhary, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Harikumar, Chief Secretary His Excellency, DGP Silenthrababu, collector SB Amrit and officers of the three forces paid tributes.

Bipin Rawat, the commander-in-chief of the three forces killed in the helicopter crash, was a multi-stage officer in the army. He is credited with overseeing the precision strikes carried out by the indian army in pakistan and Myanmar.
