Sania Mirza, the famous tennis star has announced her retirement news. She said that 2022 will be her last season in her tour. She said that this will be her last season which she officially decided. sania mirza had made tennis sport popular in India.
She also added that she is taking it week by week. She is also not sure whether she can even last this season. But she wanted to go through this season. She added that her body is wearing down. This retirement plan from her came after her loss in the first round at the Australian Open on Wednesday.

There are only two women tennis players of india who have won the WTA title so far. Sania is one among them. She is also the only female player in india to reach the top 100 in the singles. But, She withdrew from the singles due to her back injury.
 She received many awards for her work in Tennis. She received the arjuna award in the year 2004, in 2006 sania mirza received the padma shri award and Padma bhushan award in 2016. sania mirza has also won the prestigious six grand slam titles in her tennis career.
