Karunanidhi statue in chennai after 35 years..!

Vice President M. venkaiah naidu unveiled a bronze statue of karunanidhi at a cost of Rs 1.70 crore at the Omanthoorar government Estate, Anna Salai, chennai this evening. A 16-foot-tall statue of the late DMK leader and former premier karunanidhi has been erected on behalf of the tamil Nadu government at Anna Road, chennai, Omanthoorar government Estate, government Multipurpose Hospital, two grounds. The pedestal for this statue is 12 feet high. The statue is surrounded by waxed black stones. A stone-paved walkway has been set up for pilgrims to pay homage to the statue. These works have been completed by the Public Works Department with a budget of Rs. 1.70 crore was allocated by the government to the tamil Development Department.Karunanidhi statue unveiling ceremony took place at 5:30 pm today. Vice President M.Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the event,
which was presided over by chief minister Stalin. Later, venkaiah naidu, stalin, ministers, and others paid floral tributes. The function was attended by tamil Nadu ministers, DMK MPs, MLAs, and key party executives. This would have been a most proud moment for DMK leaders especially MK stalin and other ministers.
