Kanumuru raghu Ramakrishna Raju, a renegade member of the ysr congress party from narasapuram, has not visited his seat since he got into a fight with the party of chief minister Y S jagan Mohan Reddy. Raju has been prevented from entering andhra pradesh for the past three years, much alone his seat, because the state police would detain him and interview him about a number of open cases against him. He perceives his party's opponents as a threat to his life as well.
The mp is able to avoid being detained by going to court, but he is completely prevented from entering Andhra Pradesh. Even the state high court ruled that hyderabad was the only place where he could be questioned by the ap CID. Raju's chances of winning narasapuram in the upcoming general elections are quite slim because he hasn't done much for the area in the last three years. He must therefore search for another region or constituency to run for either mp or MLA.
In order to run in the upcoming general elections, Raju is reportedly thinking about moving his base from narasapuram to Kakinada. He is said to have begun making preparations in this direction. However, it's unclear from which party he would run. Raju is rumoured to have informed the telugu desam party that he would be open to joining the party if handed the mp ticket for Kakinada. Naidu, though, has already decided who the tdp candidate for kakinada will be. The tdp will once again provide the ticket to senior leader V Venkata Sivarama Raju, who ran in the most recent lok sabha elections but lost to vanga geetha of the YSRC.
