The telangana state government's objections to the famous polavaram Project's backwaters have been dismissed by the Union government. On Thursday, the representatives of the four states of andhra pradesh, telangana, odisha, and chhattisgarh met virtually with the central government. According to the central government, the project's backwaters do not pose a threat to Bhradrachalam as the telangana state had anticipated. The Center informed the telangana officials that there had previously been two surveys done on the threat posed by backwaters to the states of telangana, odisha, and Chhattisgarh.
