After the general elections in 2024, the andhra pradesh Legislative assembly is expected to convene for the first time on june 17. There will be four sittings during the session. On the first day, the newly elected MLAs will take an oath. The speaker, a senior MLA, will preside over the selection of the legislative assembly's speaker on the second day.

There are rumours that Undi K. raghu Ramakrishnan Raju, a former dissident YSRC MP, and TD MLA, is aggressively pursuing the speaker position. Legislators from the Jana Sena and senior TD MLAs are running for speaker. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister-designate, is weighing many candidates for the assembly speakership.

There are just 11 seats available for the YSRC, which is chaired by Y.S. jagan Mohan Reddy. It is uncertain if YSRC will be granted opposition status because the party needs the support of eighteen MLAs to do so. Notwithstanding its 21 seats, Jana Sena is a member of the ruling coalition. Separate sitting arrangements will be provided for the 135 TD MLAs, 21 JS lawmakers, 8 bjp members, and 11 YSRC MLAs. Stay tuned with us for more updates.
