Santhosh George Kulangara has only been able to go to the furthest reaches of the universe thus far. For the 49-year-old, who has been to 130 countries and chronicled his adventures for Malayalis all over the world, that will soon be a reality. He is expected to become India's first space tourist, having purchased a seat on one of richard Branson's Virgin Galactic's projected paid commercial space trips in 2007. He operates a small publishing company in Marangattupilly hamlet near Kottayam, Kerala, and has also signed up to be India's first space tourist, with a confirmed seat on board richard Branson's Virgin Galactic's VSS Enterprise spacecraft.
