When you imagine a lawyer then the appearance of them is mostly about the black coat which has a very important significance. Now can you imagine lawyers without black coats in the courtroom? There is something new that will amaze you.
In the supreme court, a petition has been filed to exclude lawyers from wearing black jackets and gowns in the supreme court and high courts around the country during the summer.

The petition requests that state bar councils alter their regulations and determine the time period during which lawyers are excluded from wearing black coats and gowns based on when the summer season in each state peaks.
Now we can imagine how the summar is in india during the peak timings mostly about more than 45 degrees.

Shailendra Mani Tripathi, a lawyer, filed the complaint. It was said that wearing coats during the sweltering weather made it impossible for lawyers to walk from one court to another.

The Advocates Act, 1961, establishes the Bar Council of india Rules, which mandate that an advocate wear a black coat with a white shirt and a white neckband. Unless the lawyer is appearing in the supreme court or a high court, wearing an advocate's robe is optional under the guidelines.
