Ban on sale of Panipuri in Kathmandu..!?

The Nepalese Ministry of health has banned the sale of Panipuri in the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu. 12 people have been infected with cholera in Lalitpur Metropolitan City in Kathmandu. The sale of pani puri has been banned as the number of cholera cases continues to rise. The decision was made because the water used for Panipuri was prone to the presence of cholera-causing bacteria.
Lalitpur High Commissioner for police Sitaram Hachethu said the city was being instructed to locate crowded places, places that sell pani puri and close shops there, and raise awareness about the cholera virus. Seven people were infected with the cholera virus yesterday alone, bringing the total to 12 so far, according to the country's health ministry.In addition, some people in the chandragiri area have been diagnosed with cholera. The cholera victims are being treated at the Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital in Tegucigalpa and two have returned home after recovering.The government has advised the public to get tested at the nearest primary health center if they have symptoms of cholera. Furthermore, it advised all people to be vigilant and to be careful in the use of water.
