Covid... Monkey Pox... Today Murburg Virus!

New viruses are causing great concern to the countries of the world. Two years ago, millions of people died due to the covid virus. A few lakh people are still suffering from the ill effects of covid. In this situation, monkey pox is ringing alarm bells in 61 countries. Cases of monkey pox have come to light in our country as well among those who came from abroad. Two cases of monkey pox have been reported in Kerala.

If the people were worried about not being able to escape from the monkey pox yesterday, now the virus called Marburg is disturbing. Recently, the emergence of cases of 'Marburg' virus, which is the most widespread in ghana in the African continent, has caused a stir.

The government has officially announced that two people have died in ghana due to this new virus. The two died earlier this month due to a virus with Ebola-like symptoms. Officials said that before they died in the hospital, they suffered from symptoms like diarrhea, fever, nausea and vomiting.

In this context, the ghana health service disclosed in a statement that after collecting samples of the deceased and conducting tests in a laboratory in Senegal, it was found to be Marburg. It is noteworthy that the World health Organization has also confirmed this matter. Meanwhile, the government of ghana, alerted to the Marburg virus, has initiated measures to control this virus.

As part of this, Murburg virus suspects are moving their close relatives to isolation and testing them. Apart from the two who died in ghana, the ghana Department of health has revealed that no other person has symptoms of Marburg so far. This is only the second time that the Marburg cases have come to light in West Africa as a whole. For the first time, these cases were reported in guinea last year.

Doctors say that the Marburg virus is an infectious disease belonging to the Ebola family. It is spread by bats. It then spreads to humans. There is a risk of transmission from one person to another when an infected person touches bodily fluids or has close contact. This deadly virus is said to be alive in a person for 2-21 days.
