Sugar-The Sweet Danger to our life

Sugar is present in all vegetables, fruits, grains, and dairy. Eating wholesome foods which have natural food is found to be okay. The sugar present in these foods helps in producing energy for all the cells and also helps in reducing the risk of cancer and heart disease. The sugar that is used for shelf life extension and to increase the flavor of the products is very harmful. Consumption of more sugar leads to cardiovascular disease. The top sources of this sugar are present in Soft drinks, fruit drinks, cereals, bread, buns, cakes, Yoghurt, and candies. There is sugar in soups and ketchup that we do not know. This excess sugar leads to diabetes and heart disease and also has a great impact on obesity.

          A high amount of sugar harms the liver converting carbohydrates to fat and accumulating more fat in the liver. This paves way for diabetes leading to the risk of heart disease. High consumption of sugar also leads to high blood pressure leading again to heart disease risk. The right amount of sugar for a day can be around 9 teaspoons or 36 grams of sugar which is equal to 12-ounce of soda. The highest amount of sugar is present in Soda drinks and energy drinks which we consume most of the time.
