Blackout Challenge: Why it's so dangerous?

 

Social media and video games are meant to relax the mood. Sometimes these video games prove to be fatal. Many children have lost their lives due to games like Pokemon Go and Blue Whale. One such new challenge has started. Its name is Blackout Challenge. Many children have lost their lives in the process of making videos of this challenge. According to a report, at least 20 children have died so far.

TikTok short video challenge is going on on social media called 'Blackout Challenge'. In the last 18 months, around 20 children aged 14 years and below have lost their lives. It is being said that most of the children are so caught up in the affair of likes and followers that they are not able to understand right from wrong and are losing their lives.

What is Blackout Challenge?

You have to hold your breath throughout this challenge. Children stop breathing in order to make the video good and powerful. The challenge in this is that you have to make a video till you faint and then you have to make a video of regaining consciousness. The problem in this is that on stopping the breath many times suffocation occurs and death occurs. In the last year and a half, 15 children have died due to blackout.

To protect children from such danger, it is necessary that parents monitor their internet usage. Most of the children try to do this kind of challenge only after seeing it on social media. Challenges like holding breath or suffocation can be dangerous for anyone, this danger is even more for children.
