The All india Motor Transport congress, however, has opposed the central government's decision to increase the premium for third-party insurance.
Since the advent of private insurance companies in the country, insurance premiums have been steadily increasing.
The All india Motor Transport congress (AIMTC) has said that it is wrong to increase the third-party insurance premium even though the number of accidents in the country has come down.

Baba Shinde also said that in the last two years, even though the vehicle was parked during the Corona period, the insurance was not extended.
Transporters in the country are already facing a steady rise in fuel prices and are facing financial difficulties due to road corruption, toll tax, and vehicle maintenance. The operation cost of the business is also getting harder.
