Following a string of successes with Vijay, director atlee has turned to bollywood, collaborating with bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan on a Pan indian drama named Lion. The principal lady in the film is lady superstar Nayanthara. According to sources, Nayan was not Shah Rukh Khan's first pick for the film. samantha Ruth Prabhu had been approached first by atlee for the role, but she turned down the Shah Rukh Khan movie. Nayanthara took over the job later on.
The film based on a bank robbery starring Shah Rukh Khan and atlee is generating a lot of hype in the industry. Shah Rukh Khan recently purchased the indian rights to a popular web series about bank robbery, and his upcoming hindi feature alongside atlee is reported to have a plot similar to it. Already there are speculations that the movie is a copy of hollywood movie 'Widows' featuring several artists.
