We now get to watch Siva karthikeyan in a loose and enjoyable character after a long time. In a few sequences, he imitates tamil stars well as the wayward student, evoking good humour and romance. But things alter in the second half of the picture, when it becomes a coming-of-age drama, and Siva's last half-hour performance is emotional and memorable.

SJ Suryah reprises his role from Simbu's Maanadu in yet another hefty role. The film's highlight is his banter with Siva Karthikeyan, which is handled well by the director turned actor. priyanka Arul Mohan is adequate as the hero's love interest, with nothing to do. Samutrakani, who plays the strict father, hurries through his lines at first but shines in the finale.

Don is Anirudh's 25th film, and the music is just fine. None of the songs make an impression on the audience. However, Anirudh is the king of BGM, elevating the majority of the moments. Cibi Charkavarthi directs Don, and his writing is adequate. There isn't much new here, but the way he weaves in the father and son thread by the end is appealing. This allows for some interesting conversations. The cinematography by KM Bhaskaran and the editing by Nagooran Ramachandran are both professional and effective. The film has now defeated Beast at the box office.
