Theatrical success has always been a difficult nut to crack. "Major," which received universally good reviews and a lot of buzz on social media, is battling to keep its audience on weekdays. It appears that all of its splendour lasted four days. The picture grossed a lot of money in its debut weekend, especially considering its budget. However, the trade thought that it would become a pan-India blockbuster due to the positive word of mouth and patriotic content. In the telugu market, however, collections remained solid for the first weekend.

The hindi and malayalam versions were not well received. Now, the telugu market (which includes the United States) is likewise on the decline. On weekdays, collections are almost non-existent. For a dubbed film, Kamal Haasan's "Vikram" is doing well. For the last two days in Telangana, the film has made more money than "Major." However, it remains to be seen whether the new Ante Sundariniki release would be sustained.

Bollywood, on the other hand, has a similar story. Another large budget film featuring akshay kumar crashed spectacularly. The picture made an amazing 40 crore in its first weekend, but it went downhill after that. It'll be a total washout by Wednesday.
