In a scene of the film, ranbir kapoor is seen wearing a shoe, due to which there is a ruckus on social media. people had demanded to boycott the film. Now the statement of the film's director Ayan Mukherjee has come to the fore regarding this matter.
Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji issued a statement about this scene and said- 'There were some people in our community who were angry because of a scene in the trailer where Ranbir Kapoor's character is wearing shoes and ringing the bell. As a producer (and a devotee) of this film, I would like to humbly explain why this happened? My own family has been organizing similar durga puja celebrations… for 75 years, which I have been a part of since childhood. As per my experience, we take off our shoes only where the deity is and not when we enter the pandal.
Apart from Ranbir and Alia, amitabh bachchan, Nagarjuna, and mouni roy will also be seen in important roles in the film 'Brahmastra'. This film will be released in cinemas on 9 September. The film is jointly produced by Star Studios, dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures.
