pallavi joshi, an actor and co-producer of The kashmir Files, has discussed her hopes for the movie's nominations and/or recognition at award ceremonies. pallavi joshi said she would be shocked if The kashmir Files were even nominated at any of the future award ceremonies, but she added that she would be sad if they did not win a national prize.

Speaking to Etimes, pallavi joshi was questioned about if she would be disappointed if her movie, The kashmir Files, didn't receive any nominations or awards this year due to the divisive nature of the movie's subject matter "If we are nominated, I'll be shocked. I'm positive that we won't be taken into account. But in my opinion, the movie at least deserves a national award. I have a list, but I'm confident we won't get it in so many different categories. But I suppose I'll be unhappy if we don't win that one National Award."

When anupam kher was asked if he expects accolades for The kashmir Files during a press conference with nikhil siddhartha about the success of karthikeya 2, the actor responded honestly and remarked, "Jis function mein Mujhe award nahi mila in kashmir Files... woh function hi fraud hoga. The kashmir Files received the best actor, best director, and best film prizes, respectively." Later, he chuckled and continued, "I don't know for sure, but I think The kashmir Files won the honour. Yeh baat mein ahem se nahi kar raha hu. Genuineness aap nahi ho sakte warna."
