Ponniyin Selvan: I crossed the ₹1 crore mark!!!
Mani Ratnam, the famous filmmaker of South Cinema, is once again ready to give a tremendous film to the industry. His film 'Ponniyin Selvan Part 1' is making a tremendous buzz these days. It is being touted as India's most expensive film. At present, ponniyin selvan is ready to knock in theaters on 30 september, but before that the advance booking figures of the film have come to the fore. The advance booking of the film has started from sunday i.e. 25th september and the film has earned a good amount in a single day. This figure has created a stir at the box office.
Ponniyin Selvan has sold more than 2.5 lakh tickets across tamil Nadu on the first day of advance booking i.e. the film has earned around 4.50 crores. It is worth noting that so far only around 225 theaters have opened ticket sales for the film. Ticket booking will start today and tomorrow in the rest of the country.
A lot of tickets have been sold in big cities like Chennai, Trichy, coimbatore and Madurai. This film has beaten Kamal Haasan's film vikram in terms of advance booking. Also, it is the third biggest film which has earned such a tremendous amount. The film Beast and valimai occupy the first and second number. At present, this film has become another winner for kollywood in terms of advance booking.
