Ryan Reynolds revealed the date for the third Deadpool movie on Tuesday. This will be the first Deadpool movie to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Disney acquired 20th Century Studios a few years ago.

Jackman famously declared his exit from the superhero role in the 2017 movie Logan. The sole theme of the film's advertising was that Jackman will never again play Wolverine. Wolverine was actually brutally slaughtered at the end of the film and laid to rest. james Mangold, the Logan director, angered fans by tweeting a clip of Wolverine being impaled on a log in that film, giving the idea that he was upset about the character's "unretirement."
