Raha is the name chosen by bollywood star parents Ranbir Kapoor and alia bhatt for their daughter, who was born earlier this month. On Thursday, alia posted the name of her baby girl on her instagram account. She shared a photo of herself that included Ranbir. Due to the depth of field of the lens, it is difficult to make out the faces of Ranbir, alia, and Raha in the photograph, but it is possible to make out Raha's name on the FC Barcelona jersey hanging on the wall behind them. 


Ranbir is well-known for supporting the Spanish team that is currently leading La Liga. Raha, in its purest form, means heavenly road; in Swahili, she is Joy; in Sanskrit, Raha is a clan; in Bangla — rest, comfort, relief; in Arabic, peace; and it also means happiness, freedom, & bliss, according to alia, who explained the name's numerous meanings in the caption. Added her: "And true to her name, we felt EVERYTHING the instant we first held her! We are grateful to Raha for creating our family; it feels as though our lives are just getting started."
