Regarding Pathaan, the bollywood boycott group was especially vocal. They found Deepika's saffron-colored bikini offensive and raised such a fuss about it that the producers had to cut it from the finished product. However, that did not deter the boycott batch from launching their attack on Pathaan. In fact, they wrecked a theatre in hyderabad where Pathaan was being screened.

Before getting into the story, demonstrators for the Bajrang Dal tore down the Pathaan flexi at the recently rebuilt Tarakarama theatre in Kachiguda, Hyderabad. They may be seen tearing up the poster while yelling "Jai Shri Ram!" They can be seen pulling down the Pathaan posters while waving saffron flags and yelling Vande Mataram. However, these boycott efforts had no effect at all on the box office. With nearly Rs 50 crores nett reported on the first day, the movie is said to have had a record-breaking opening.

Some claim that the boycott calls actually helped the movie get more press and exposure. This has been the same case even in faridabad as an user posted the vandalizings of the boycott gang inside INOX theater and even the cops never stopped them and they were shouting 'Jai Shri Ram' after breaking the properties.
