The plot follows Brodie as he makes a perilous landing on a war-torn island in the Sulu Archipelago, leading to the rebels taking his remaining passengers hostage. Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter), an alleged killer with a background in the military, is his only chance to save them. Louis also happens to be being transported by the FBI since he is deemed dangerous, which ultimately serves a purpose. In order to retrieve the passengers while they wait for help from an unlikely source, they travel into the bush and face unforeseen dangers together.

Plane, which is primarily set on an aeroplane or an island, is the product of tense action scenes and amusing banter between the two heroes. The Davis and Cumming narrative has a lot going for it overall. In order to keep viewers captivated, the action is nonstop, the stakes are high, and the narrative is simple to follow. However, there is a story about a regular guy attempting to do the right thing with the little resources at his disposal hidden beneath this action-packed movie. And in its current form, this feature makes it simple to root for the protagonists and take pleasure in some wonderful surprises along the route.

The film's character depth limits become more obvious as it goes along. For instance, it is made clear right away that Brodie from Butler is attempting to travel home in order to spend New Year's Eve with his daughter Daniela (Haleigh Hekking). His daughter's remarks, such "I'm delighted we're doing this," show that they're attempting to rekindle their relationship. However, there aren't many instances where the pair's friendship becomes essential to Brodie's persona. Even if they were only used in dialogue, adding such human qualities would have improved the screenplay even more. It's a lost opportunity, to put it mildly.

There is a certain feeling while seeing Lionsgate's most recent nail-biting action movie. Plane is the kind of thoughtless entertainment that audiences will appreciate to start the new year, from the suspenseful plane sequences and action scenes to the subtle humour found throughout. Thanks to some enjoyable twists, this straightforward plot has enough stakes to warrant a theatre viewing. Furthermore, early promises to keep spectators on the edge of their seats are fully kept throughout the entire film. Butler and company try their best to keep the momentum rolling, ending the movie with a well-deserved bang, even though it loses speed in the second act.
